DAY OF THE DOG 2016!

ONE DAY ONLY - July 23, 2016

What is "Day of the Dog",  you ask?

Well, once a year, for one entire day we set aside our studio exclusively for the purpose of photographing Dogs! Our set is a 'seamless' white background (see the photo right) and works great for this event. It's all about the dog!

We concentrate on capturing the personality of your prized pooch. It may be a 'pose' they frequently assume, or just a 'look' they give, but every dog gets their opportunity to ham it up for the camera.

Day of the Dog is an Appointment Only event. There are a limited number of sessions available. Each session will take approximately 30-45 minutes.

Why Day of the Dog?

We created Day of the Dog for several reasons, but the first is to help the Barrie Branch of the OSPCA. We are reducing our usual photo session fee for this style of portrait from $200 down to $50 (per dog), plus one large bag of IAMS Dry Adult Dog Food (OSPCA's preferred brand, and Lamb & Rice is requested because it also suits dogs with sensitive stomachs) or IAMS Multi-Cat for Cats. So yes, even though this is an event exclusively for Dogs, we will be accepting donations for Cats as well. Cash donations are also welcome!

AND we are also creating awareness for our Facebook Page, Lost Dogs in Simcoe County. We created the Page back in the Winter of 2013 to provide a central location where dog lovers throughout Simcoe County could help missing dogs. The Page posts both Lost and Found Dogs and with over 6000 'Fans' we are quite successful in reuniting families. Check it out for yourself!

AND we are always collecting leashes and collars in good condition for the Vets at Allandale Veterinary Hospital in their efforts to aid a small community in Todos Santos, Guatemala. Click on their link and visit the Guatemala page to learn more and why we desperately need these collars.  We'll collect them though-out the year, so bring them in any time!

The date for Day of the Dog vary year to year, but happens only once a year. It has grown every year, so we cannot take bookings ahead of time, but if you would like to be informed, simply Like and Follow Us on our Facebook Page, www.Facebook.com/mike.guilbault.photography
