"Winter Treeline" - 72 x 13" x 1.5" Colour Photograph
Pigment Ink on Archival Canvas.
I pass this farm field five, six or more times every month. The treeline with the dip at the end always intrigued me as a composition, but either the field condition or the weather never really cooperated, until this day. This is the image I had envisioned for the photograph. The snow was actually falling softly in the photograph, but you can't see it. The sky was beginning to clear with a warm, soft light illuminating the trees.
The detail in the print is incredible. When you look at the actual canvas, you can see snow on a wire fence along the treeline just to the left of centre.
Photographed on George Johnstone Rd., Springwater, Ontario, Canada.
