“Face-off" - 24 x 6" Limited Edition Colour Photograph

I photographed this on the same morning that I photographed one of my best selling images, “Winter Treeline”, another panoramic image.

I found these two horses in a farm field a short drive away, near Minesing, Ontario. The snow had picked up and created this beautiful ‘layer’ of texture on the overall image. The horses are perfectly sharp, but the varying degrees of out-of-focus softeness of the snow created an almost sureal image. I have other images of this scene, some including the red barn, but this one of my favourites, although it took me a long time to finally edit it the way I envisioned it.

on the Epson Stylus Pro 9900 printer using the UltraChrome HDR pigment ink set.
