Introduction to ®Adobe Lightroom

Saturday, January 12, 2019

You have a digital camera, taking lots of great photos, but now what do you do with them all? How do you download, organize, sort, select, keyword, rate, enhance, correct, and process all these great images?

In a word, Lightroom! With Lightroom you can do all of the above and so much more, from slideshows to web pages and black & white to out-of-this-world. It's all about workflow!

Join Mike as we explore the fundamentals of this leading edge software designed from the ground up for photographers.

First we’ll cover the key elements of Library Module including; navigation and shortcuts; setting up folders; importing images, keywording, rating and MetaData creation; as well as creating import presets and image collections with Smart Albums. We'll also cover finding your images through the versatile filtering options; exporting your images for different applications from Facebook to fine art printing.

Although this isn’t the most ‘fun’ part of Lightroom, it is the most important. Importing, organizing and being able to find your images is key to a good workflow, and if not done properly, can spell disaster!

Time permitting, we’ll touch on the editing options in the Develop Module, but this is covered much more extensively in the “Editing in Lightroom” seminar (T.B.A.).

This is also a good seminar to attend if you don't have Lightroom but would like to know if it will work for you.
