Mike Guilbault, MPA, APPO, has been Qualified by the Professional Photographers of Ontario (PPO) and received National Accreditation from the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC) for:

Couples Portraiture

Mike has been honoured with both the Master of Photographic Arts Award and the Craftsman of Photographic Arts Award from the PPOC and is a Qualifiied Associate of PPO.

Mike's skills have been honed from over 20 years of experience in the photographic industry and he continues to upgrade his skills through seminars and workshops offered by some of the most prominent photographers in Canada and the United States.

Versed in portrait, fine art, commercial, wedding and digital imaging, Mike has been able to transfer and combine techniques from these very different fields to compliment and expand the creative process. His sense of lighting, composition and creativity are evident in his work.

His photographs have hung in the National Print Salon and the Permanent Loan Collection of the Professional Photographers of Canada and featured in publications both locally and internationally. For other awards, see our Articles section.

Every artist needs inspiration and mine comes from my wife, Meia. She was born in Virginia, and we were married there in 2001.

She supports me in so many ways from keeping me organized to truly providing me with inspiration and the passion to create. She's my proofer, my critic and my best friend.

We live near the town of Penetanguishene, along the shoreline of Georgian Bay, with our dogs, 3 Jack Russell Terriers and a Bassett Hound mix, that keep us extremely active when we're not working. They are a source of wonder and a pleasure to own. Although, in all honesty (as many dog lovers will attest to), I'm sure we belong to them more than they to us. You'll see portraits of them throughout the site. They're not as camera shy as my wife.
