I honestly believe that this 'event' was one of the major influences for me becoming a professional photographer.

What this means is that when you order a print that is not of the images 'native' aspect ratio some cropping may occur to make it fit the size of print ordered.

Mike's skills have grown through over 23 years of experience in the photographic industry. He also teaches and runs photographic workshops through his website, www.PhotographyWorkshops.ca.
Versed in portrait, fine art, commercial and wedding photography, combined with advanced digital imaging, Mike has been able to transfer and combine techniques from these very different fields to compliment and expand the creative process. His sense of lighting, composition and creativity are evident in his work.
His photographs have hung in the National Print Salon and the Permanent Loan Collection of the Professional Photographers of Canada and featured in publications both locally and internationally.
Mike is also the Founder/Director of the "Springwater Guild of Artists & Artisans", a group of creative minds partnered together to promote the many talented individuals in the area of Springwater Township, Ontario.
Every artist needs a support system and mine comes from my wife, Meia. She was born in Virginia and we were married there in 2001.She supports me in so many ways but mostly takes the worry out of my day-to-day life. With her around I can focus on what I need to do to keep my business running. She 'grounds' me and helps me remember what's important in life. She's absolutely my best friend.
We live together in Tiny Township along the shoreline of Georgian Bay. It's a beautiful area, rich in history and rural bliss. We live there with our dogs, 3 Jack Russell Terriers (yes, I said three!) and a Bassett Hound mix. You'll see their photos throughout the website. They're not as camera shy as my wife.
