What this means is that when you order a print that is not of the images 'native' aspect ratio some cropping may occur to make it fit the size of print ordered.

This 1 of 1 print was auctioned off at the recent "Magic of the Season" Gala Event held each year to raise money for the CAF, held at the Southshore Centre in Barrie, Ontario.

"The Waterford Retirement Community opened its doors in November of 2005. As a new senior’s residence in Barrie, it was imperative that our "first impressions” projected to the community via publications including photography, were good ones. As well, being a new businessperson in Barrie, I had no prior knowledge of the expertise or the reputation of the various photographers in the area. Over the winter my investigations led me to Mike Guilbault Photography. 


The reasons I selected him were as follows:


  • he took the time to learn about our residence and the principles and goals of our retirement community business
  • he interviewed me to learn what image we wanted to portray to the community and what message we wanted to send
  • he took the time to come and tour The Waterford in advance of shooting so that he could get a feel for the place and familiarize himself with it
  • his sincerity and enthusiasm for the project was most evident.

 

The day of the photography shoot Mike displayed professionalism, patience and understanding as he photographed each area, all the while involving us to ensure he was capturing areas we wanted featured. The end result was outstanding and we have used Mike’s photographs exclusively on our website and in advertising ever since. The feedback we have received on the photographs has always been very positive.

 

On another occasion we asked Mike to return to shoot summer photos as well as to involve some of our residents in action shots. He displayed his genuine talent in interpersonal relations as he quickly put all residents at ease and the session turned into a great deal of fun! Again the end result was superb photographs that told a story of life at The Waterford.


In a totally different venue, I contacted Mike to do some personal pet photography for our family. Yet again he had our active puppy complying with his every request and amazing the rest of us with how obedient she could actually be! The photographs he produced were heart-warming and captured her personality while showcasing her appearance. We were just delighted with them.
